Before consultation

  • Patients should know what information is needed and why.
  • Identity and contact details should be checked through secure systems.
  • Records, consent, pricing, and privacy notices should be clear before payment or appointment.

During consultation

Clinical questions, risks, benefits, alternatives, and suitability should be discussed with a qualified clinician. Decisions should be made through the proper clinical process.

After consultation

Any care plan, documentation, pharmacy involvement, follow-up, or next steps should be recorded and communicated through secure patient channels where applicable.
