Principles
- Patients should be listened to and treated with dignity and respect.
- Decisions should be made with informed consent wherever possible.
- Concerns should be escalated to an appropriate responsible person.
- Safeguarding records should be clear, proportionate, and access-controlled.
Public website
The public website is for general information, registration interest, and first admin checks. It is not the place to submit detailed safeguarding concerns, medical records, or private patient documents.
Future services
Patient-service safeguarding procedures, named responsibilities, training, escalation routes, and audit controls should be confirmed before patient services open POST CQC approval.
Records
Where safeguarding information is handled, it should be managed through secure patient channels with suitable access controls, privacy notices, and governance review.
